$50k SIMCO Contribution

SIMCO presented a $50,000 donation to the City of Carlsbad on Tuesday to support the construction of a splash pad that will be open to all children, including those with cognitive or physical disabilities.

For example, the unique design will allow children in wheelchairs to reach splash pad features. Because of SIMCO’s donation, the city will be able to move forward with the first phases of construction.

The new splash pad will be constructed near Friendship Park, a playground designed to accommodate children with disabilities, which is located in the northern portion of the Lake Carlsbad Recreation Area.
